ABSTRACT

Surgery management is key to surgical quality control. The authors presented the IT system design for surgery anesthesia of the children′s hospital of Fudan University, featuring all-process information support by means of IT development and process reengineering. Such a process comprises perioperative patient handover, medication, surgical safety check, and intraoperative care. This surgery anesthesia system development has interconnected hospital information systems within and beyond operation rooms in terms of informationization. It proves that the system can effectively enhance safety and convenience of surgery related works and supervision, reducing error exposure of surgical operations and ensuring patient safety.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the relationship between suicidal attitude and childhood trauma in bipolar disorders. Methods 67 patients with bipolar disorder and 101 healthy individuals were assessed with the Questionnaire of Suicidal Attitude (QSA) and Childhood Trauma Questionnaire(CTQ).Results There was no statistical difference between the patients group and healthy control group in the results of suicidal attitude (P>0.05).The scores of emotional neglect (M =10)and physical neglect (M =9) in patients group were significantly higher than those of the healthy control group(M =8,M =6)(P<0.05).The attitude to suicidal behavior was negative correlation with emotion neglect(r=-0.181,P<0.05)in patients group. Conclusion Emotional and physical neglect are the main types of trauma in patients with BD,and may increase the risk of suicide. It is important to survey the patients with BD on childhood trauma, and intervention is necessary.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the pharmacodynamics of rocuronium in infants with obstructive jaundice. Methods Thirty infants aged 1 to 4 months without neuromuscular diseases or renal dysfunction were divided into two groups with 15 cases each. The patients in group A were diagnosed with biliary atresia and scheduled for the kasai operation, and those in group B were with normal liver function and scheduled for abdominal surgery as the controls. Anestheisa was induced with propofol 2 mg/kg and fentanyl 3 g/kg. Rocuronium 0. 6 mg/kg was given and neuromuscular block was recorded with acceleromyography. Results Comparing with group B, The onset time of rocuronium was significantly longer in group A than that in group B[(81±35) s vs (51±28)s](P< 0. 05). There were no significant differences between the two groups in the maximum depression time [(49±15) min vs. (48±12) min]or the clinical duration of action[(76±20) min vs. (71±14) min]. Conclusion The onset time of rocuronium is prolonged in infants with obstructive jaundice.
